Anthros Campaign Setting
Spell books line her forest treehouse – Whispering Woods
Caravir was born a half-breed: her father was a human researcher who, stumbling into the Whispering Woods during an ill-fated experiment, was saved from an Orc attack by her mother, the Princess of the Elves. They fell in love and started a family before the Elf King met his untimely end. As the eldest daughter, her mother was the natural choice as the new Queen. But the elven people would never agree to let a human be their King. Thus, through a magical ceremony, a transformation was done to turn him into an elf. Thus, he became the next King of the Forest Elves.
In her early years, Caravir lived without want, given the best education, and amply provided with toys, books, games, and parental affection. She spent her days discovering the great wonders of the forest, and always felt the pull to explore more.
Caravir was sent off to Fallcrest’s Council of the Septarchs (Hogwarts) when she became of age to train as a wizard. It was there that she first mingled with human and other races of children. A natural prodigy, she quickly mastered the magic arts. After graduating with high honors, she returned triumphantly to her home in the Whispering Woods. A few years later, however, she found herself living a quiet, uneventful life in the peaceful and powerfully protected woods. Caught up in her wanderlust, she appealed to her parents to leave in pursuit of adventure.
While reluctant and fully aware of the dangers in the outside world, Caravir’s parents knew that she was capable of greatness, and to discover that, they could no longer keep her in their shelter.
She looks up to her elder brother, Taravir, a great warrior and protector of the Woods. He will make a great King someday, but Caravir knows of the dangers of his profession and, if worst comes to worst, she is next in line to rule.
